Limelight Networks to Deploy FastSoft E Series Internet Accelerators
PASADENA, Ca. – 17 November 2008 – FastSoft, Inc. today announced that Limelight Networks, Inc. is deploying FastSoft E Series Internet Accelerators to help speed the upload of content objects to Limelight’s global storage servers.
“By speeding the upload of information to Limelight’s storage servers, FastSoft’s E Series Internet Accelerators will help our customers maximize the benefits of our content delivery platform,” said Joe DePalo, vice president, network operations, Limelight Networks, Inc.
FastSoft’s patented FastTCP technology bypasses limitations inherent in the TCP protocol commonly used in IP networks, enabling performance improvements in transmission speeds. Under the agreement, FastSoft’s E Series will help accelerate the uploading of content from customers to Limelight storage servers – regional storage nodes throughout Limelight’s global network that contain copies of publishers’ content.
“We’re extremely pleased to be working with Limelight Networks, one of the leading content delivery network operators, to speed the flow of data to their storage servers,” says Dan Henderson, vice president, marketing, FastSoft. “Limelight is a great example of how the FastTCP technology can help companies of all types improve productivity and operate their networks more efficiently.”
